Hyundai Tucson sales in Pakistan plunged 99% year-on-year in August 2026, falling to just 2 units from 631 units a year earlier, according to automobile-sector data.
The model’s sales also declined sharply on a monthly basis, dropping 99% from 171 units in July, highlighting the severe contraction in its recent sales volumes.
Hyundai’s Overall Sales Decline
Hyundai’s total sales stood at 742 units in August, down 39% year-on-year from 1,212 units in the same month last year.
However, the company’s sales increased 5% month-on-month from 710 units in July, supported by stronger volumes of the Elantra.
Elantra Sales Rise Sharply
Hyundai Elantra sales reached 458 units in August, compared with 211 units in July and 145 units in August 2025.
The model posted a 117% month-on-month increase and a 216% year-on-year surge, making it the strongest contributor to Hyundai’s August sales.
Porter And Sonata Volumes Remain Under Pressure
Hyundai Porter sales fell to 252 units in August from 286 units in July, representing a 12% month-on-month decline. Sales were also down 20% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, Sonata sales rose 20% month-on-month to 30 units but remained 48% below the 58 units sold in August 2025.
Santa Fe Sales Fall To Zero
Hyundai Santa Fe sales dropped to zero units in August, compared with 17 units in July and 64 units in August 2025.

Hyundai’s Cumulative Sales Decline
During the first two months of fiscal year 2027, Hyundai sold 1,452 units, down 40% from 2,437 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The August data reflects a mixed performance across Hyundai’s lineup, with the Elantra showing strong growth while Tucson and Santa Fe sales remained severely depressed.
