Mega Motor Company (MMC), the official partner of BYD in Pakistan, has marked the first anniversary of the BYD Shark 6 in the country with the introduction of an exclusive anniversary edition colour, “Outback Orange.”
The anniversary edition of the pickup was unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 in Lahore, marking one year since the BYD Shark 6 entered the Pakistani market.
The BYD Shark 6 is positioned as Pakistan’s first and most powerful plug-in hybrid pickup, combining electric performance with off-road capability and hybrid technology for customers seeking a more adventure-focused driving experience.
BYD Shark 6 Enters Second Year in Pakistan
Reflecting on the first year of the Shark 6 in Pakistan, Danish Khaliq, Vice President Sales & Strategy, BYD Pakistan – MMC, said the company saw an opportunity to introduce a pickup that combined the capability expected from the segment with the technology and driving experience of a plug-in hybrid.
He said the response to the Shark 6 over its first year had reinforced the company’s view that Pakistani customers are willing to embrace new automotive technologies when offered suitable options.
The anniversary edition retains the core capabilities of the existing Shark 6 while adding the new Outback Orange colour for customers looking for a more distinctive variant.
436 HP and 650 Nm Torque
The BYD Shark 6 uses BYD’s Super DMO technology and produces 436 horsepower with 650 Nm of torque.
The plug-in hybrid pickup offers a claimed combined range of 800 kilometres, giving it the flexibility to serve both daily driving requirements and longer journeys.
Its hybrid powertrain is paired with all-terrain capabilities designed for varied driving conditions.
The Shark 6 features dedicated Mud, Snow and Sand driving modes, allowing drivers to adapt the vehicle to different surfaces and off-road environments.
Outback Orange Anniversary Edition Unveiled at PAPS 2026
The exclusive “Outback Orange” colour was introduced to mark the first anniversary of the Shark 6 in Pakistan.
The variant was showcased at PAPS 2026 in Lahore, where BYD presented its latest new-energy vehicle offerings to the Pakistani automotive market.
While the anniversary edition retains the mechanical and off-road capabilities of the Shark 6, the new colour provides buyers with an additional visual option designed to distinguish the anniversary variant.
Anniversary Booking Offer Announced
To celebrate the first anniversary, MMC has announced a limited-period booking offer for the BYD Shark 6.
Customers who make bookings between October 1 and October 31, 2026, will receive their vehicles within 30 days, subject to full payment and availability of select colours.
The offer also includes a one-year free service maintenance package.
The delivery commitment and maintenance offer are subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
