ISLAMABAD, November 5, 2026 — The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced petrol prices by Rs7.06 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices by Rs3.71, with the revised rates taking effect from Thursday.
According to an official notification, petrol now costs Rs362.00 per litre, down from Rs369.06, while high-speed diesel has fallen to Rs387.81 from Rs391.52 per litre.
An OGRA spokesperson in Islamabad said the authority had determined the revised prices under the petroleum pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.
The latest announcement marks the second consecutive daily reduction in petroleum prices. On November 4, authorities had reduced petrol by Rs5.45 per litre and diesel by Rs3.68 per litre.
Following both adjustments, petrol prices have dropped by a cumulative Rs12.51 per litre, while diesel prices have declined by Rs7.39 over the two days.
The reductions come amid softer international crude oil prices as global markets assess developments surrounding the US-Israeli conflict involving Iran and the outcome of the US midterm elections.

Pakistan has operated under a daily petroleum pricing mechanism since mid-2026 to respond more quickly to fluctuations in international oil markets.
Meanwhile, a 30-day arrangement under which domestic refineries share part of the financial burden continues to support lower petrol prices for consumers. The arrangement carries a cumulative impact of approximately Rs15 billion.
Government levies and petroleum-related margins remain unchanged under the latest revision.
The latest price cuts are expected to offer some relief to households, transport operators and businesses facing higher fuel costs. However, the actual impact on consumers will depend on how oil marketing companies implement the revised rates at fuel stations
