DOHA, Qatar: Qatar Airways has inaugurated its new twice-weekly service connecting Doha with Bogotá, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela, expanding its network across the Americas.
The new route marks a significant milestone for the airline, making it the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first airline to operate nonstop services from the Middle East to both Bogotá and Caracas.
The service operates using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, with flights scheduled every Wednesday and Sunday. The new destinations bring Qatar Airways’ total number of destinations in the Americas to 17, including 16th and 17th additions to its regional network.
The flight schedule has been designed to offer convenient onward connections through Hamad International Airport in Doha to destinations across Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. The airline said the service would provide passengers with greater flexibility and access to its global network of more than 170 destinations.
Under the published schedule, flight QR783 departs Doha for Bogotá at 7:35 am, arriving at 4:25 pm. It then leaves Bogotá at 5:55 pm for Caracas, arriving at 9:00 pm. The return service departs Caracas at 11:30 pm and arrives in Doha at 8:35 pm.
