AirV Launch Expands Pakistan’s Electric Bike Market

AirV Launch: Airlink Enters Pakistan’s Electric Bike Market with 11 Models

The company plans to localise nearly 95% of production within two to three years while offering electric bikes with ranges of up to 200 kilometres.

KARACHI, November 5, 2026 — Air Link Communication Limited (Airlink), one of Pakistan’s leading technology manufacturers, has officially launched AirV, its own electric bike brand, marking a major step in the company’s expansion into the electric mobility sector.

AirV enters the market with 11 models across six distinct series, offering options designed to meet different customer preferences, riding needs and applications, the company said in a statement.

The lineup features contemporary designs and technology-focused features, including cruise control, regenerative battery technology, NFC functionality and anti-theft systems. With lithium battery options and model-specific driving ranges of up to 200 kilometres, the brand aims to offer a variety of choices to consumers.

Earlier, Airlink informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange through a filing that it was developing the project at its manufacturing facility in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ) in Lahore.

Speaking to Business Recorder, Muzaffar Hayat Paracha said the company would bring manufacturing capacity into operation in phases.

He added that Airlink aims to localise approximately 95 per cent of production over the next two to three years, gradually reducing its reliance on imported components.

The company also plans to use its Airfin financing service to introduce buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) options for electric bikes, potentially making the vehicles more accessible to consumers.

Airlink Chairman Aslam Hayat Piracha said the launch reflected the company’s ambition to support Pakistan’s development through innovation.

He said AirV aims to contribute to the country’s changing transportation landscape by making modern, reliable and technology-driven mobility more accessible and affordable. He also highlighted the company’s broader ambition to strengthen Pakistan’s electric vehicle ecosystem through local manufacturing, technological development and sustainable business practices.

Group CEO Muzaffar Hayat Paracha described the launch as another milestone in Airlink’s growth and diversification strategy. He said the company had consistently focused on identifying emerging opportunities and developing them into successful businesses.

As Pakistan moves towards electric mobility, he added, Airlink sees significant potential to help shape the future of transportation.

Pakistan’s electric vehicle industry is gaining momentum amid government initiatives, growing environmental awareness and rising fuel costs. However, the sector continues to face challenges, including the need for stronger infrastructure, investment and consistent policy support.

Industry observers have described the country’s EV sector as being at an early stage of development, requiring time and sustained government backing to establish a stronger manufacturing base and supporting ecosystem.

Airlink’s entry into the electric bike market adds another local manufacturer to Pakistan’s emerging EV industry, with its planned production localisation expected to play an important role in the company’s long-term strategy.
