Pakistan PVC Fails To Pay Exchange Penalty

Pakistan PVC Limited (PPVC) has failed to pay a penalty imposed by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), triggering disciplinary action under the exchange’s regulations.

In a notice issued on September 15, PSX said the company’s failure to settle the penalty constituted non-compliance with Clause 5.11.1.(d) of the PSX Regulations.

The clause covers a listed company’s failure to pay a penalty imposed by the exchange through a final order within the specified period.

Non-Compliant Status Updated

PPVC was already placed in the Non-Compliant Segment following a disclaimer of opinion by its statutory auditor in the audit report.

PSX said the latest non-compliance has also been added to the company’s entry in the exchange’s Daily Quotations, effective September 16, 2026.

Company Given 90 Days

Under Clause 5.11.3.(c), the exchange has directed Pakistan PVC to rectify the non-compliance within 90 days, with the deadline set for December 14, 2026.

The notice does not disclose the amount of the unpaid penalty or provide details about the underlying violation that led to its imposition.

Further Action Possible

PSX warned that failure to rectify the issue within the stipulated period could lead to further action under Clause 5.11.3.(d).

Such action may include the issuance of a Risk Warning Alert against the company. Market participants and other concerned parties have been advised to take note of the development.
