Karachi, September 15, 2026: Agro Processors & Atmospheric Gases Limited (APAG), the company behind Soya Supreme, one of Pakistan’s recognised cooking oil brands, marked its listing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) with a Gong Ceremony held at the PSX headquarters.
The listing marks a new chapter for the company after 45 years of operations and comes as APAG expands its portfolio beyond cooking oil into a broader range of consumer products.
APAG Brings 45-Year Consumer Brand Legacy to PSX
APAG has built a diversified portfolio of consumer brands over the past 45 years.
Its portfolio includes Soya Supreme Cooking Oil and Banaspati, Soya Supreme Olive Cooking Oil, Malta, Smart Sauces, Supremo and Taqat Margarine.
While Soya Supreme remains the brand most closely associated with APAG among consumers, the company now operates across multiple consumer categories and serves millions of customers.
APAG IPO Attracts Strong Investor Demand
APAG’s public offering comprised 58.049 million ordinary shares, representing 15% of the company’s post-IPO paid-up capital.
Of the total offering, 43.537 million shares were offered through the Book Building process.
The shares were offered at a floor price of PKR 32.00 and a ceiling price of PKR 44.80, with the strike price ultimately discovered at PKR 33.00 per share.
The Book Building portion was oversubscribed 1.84 times, while the General Public portion was oversubscribed 1.83 times.
The public offering attracted PKR 878 million against PKR 479 million worth of shares offered to the general public.
PSX Welcomes APAG as 12th Calendar-Year Listing
Ahmed Chinoy, H.I.S.I., Shareholder Director of PSX, welcomed APAG to the listed community and described the ceremony as an important milestone for both the company and the capital market.
“This Gong Ceremony marks the 12th listing of the calendar year and the 4th of the fiscal year, underscoring the strong momentum of Pakistan’s capital market,” he said.
Chinoy noted that APAG’s listing was particularly significant because the company behind Soya Supreme, a brand trusted by generations of Pakistani consumers, was now joining the publicly listed corporate community.
Consumer Sector Draws Investor Interest
Chinoy said the successful IPO reflected investor confidence in Pakistan’s consumer sector.
He highlighted the strong demand for APAG’s shares, noting that the 58 million-share offering was oversubscribed nearly twice, with participation from both institutional and retail investors.
According to him, the response demonstrates continued resilience in Pakistan’s capital market and investor appetite for businesses with strong fundamentals and established brand equity.
He also noted that investor accounts had crossed 630,000, with Millennials and Gen Z increasingly contributing to the expansion of the market’s investor base.
APAG Eyes New Categories and Global Markets
Ahmad Aziz Ghulamhussain, CEO of APAG, described the listing as a proud milestone and the beginning of a new phase for the company.
He credited APAG’s employees, consumers and stakeholders for helping build the company and its brands over the past 45 years.
The CEO said Soya Supreme remains a major name in Pakistani households and that the company is proud of the position its brands have established among consumers.
Looking ahead, Ghulamhussain said APAG aims to strengthen its existing brands, expand into new categories and create greater value for stakeholders.
He stressed that the PSX listing was not the destination but the beginning of a new chapter for the company.
The company also aims to expand its portfolio and enter new markets, with an ambition to build brands that can eventually reach consumers globally.
KTrade Sees Strong Potential for APAG
Omar Salah Ahmed, Managing Director of KTrade Securities Limited, welcomed APAG’s entry into the food sector at PSX.
He highlighted the company’s 45-year history and the position Soya Supreme has established as a recognised household name in Pakistan.
Ahmed said it was an honour for KTrade to be entrusted with bringing APAG to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
He added that APAG’s corporate culture, financial performance and sponsors’ commitment to further professionalise the company could position it among the notable IPOs of 2026.
APAG Thanks Regulators and Transaction Partners
Ghulamhussain also expressed appreciation to APAG’s employees, consumers, investors and business partners.
He acknowledged the role of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), KTrade Securities, HBL and other advisers and transaction partners involved in the IPO and listing process.
The ceremony concluded with the ceremonial ringing of the PSX Gong, formally marking APAG’s transition into its next chapter as a publicly listed company.
