IPAK Group Reports PKR 11.13 Billion Quarterly Revenue; Profitability Remains Stable

International Packaging Films Limited (IPAK) reported consolidated revenue of PKR 11.13 billion for the first quarter ended September 30, 2026, marking a 9.2% increase compared with the corresponding period last year. The Group maintained stable profitability despite pressure on margins and a more challenging operating environment.

The company’s Board of Directors met in Karachi on October 27 to review the financial results for the quarter.

Consolidated Profit Remains Stable

IPAK Group posted consolidated profit after tax of PKR 705 million, compared with PKR 704 million in the same period last year. Earnings per share increased to PKR 1.08 from PKR 1.01.

Gross profit declined to PKR 1.62 billion from PKR 1.75 billion in the corresponding quarter, reflecting pressure on margins. However, a 16% reduction in finance costs helped cushion the impact and support overall profitability.

Focus Shifts Towards Capacity Optimization

Following the substantial capacity expansion that supported growth in FY2026, the Group is increasingly focused on optimizing its expanded manufacturing platform, improving product mix and strengthening its market presence.

According to the company, quarterly margins also reflect the normalization of trading conditions after the exceptional benefits recorded during the final two quarters preceding the current financial year.

The focus on operational efficiency and product mix is expected to remain central to the Group’s efforts to navigate the evolving business environment.

Export Sales Nearly Double

IPAK Group recorded a significant increase in international sales during the quarter. Export revenue nearly doubled to PKR 3.515 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 12.68 million, compared with PKR 2.442 billion in the corresponding period last year.

The growth reflects continued progress in international markets and highlights the Group’s ongoing focus on export development.

On a standalone basis, International Packaging Films Limited reported revenue of PKR 3.42 billion and profit after tax of PKR 211 million during the quarter.

Middle East Crisis Creates Supply Chain Risks

Looking ahead, the Group faces supply chain challenges linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis. Management highlighted heightened uncertainty surrounding raw material availability, shipping routes, delivery timelines and associated costs.

The company’s immediate priorities include securing continuity of supplies, maintaining operational resilience and managing working capital prudently.

Alongside these measures, IPAK Group plans to maintain its focus on operational efficiency, value-added products and export development as it navigates supply chain uncertainties and evolving market conditions.
